About The Position

The EMT/Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of customers and employees at the Downstream Casino Resort. This role involves responding to critical situations, including medical emergencies and dealing with irate patrons, while maintaining a professional and customer-service-oriented demeanor. The position requires continuous observation and patrolling of the casino premises and generating various reports. The officer must adhere to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and attend necessary training.

Requirements

  • Must be on the National Registry as an active EMT-B.
  • Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma EMT license.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Good observation skills.
  • Good writing and spelling skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Substantiate a safe driving record within acceptable parameters.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
  • Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid Training Course.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of customers and employees on the premises.
  • Respond to critical situations such as medical emergencies and irate patrons.
  • Conduct continuous observation and patrolling of the casino premises, corridors, bar area, office area, and parking lot.
  • Generate daily/weekly reports as assigned.
  • Assist patrons and employees.
  • Report any violations, acts, or situations detrimental to the casino resort.
  • Assist in internal or external investigations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a professional work environment.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to policies.
  • Attend training meetings and assist in other projects.
  • Respond to medical situations and render first aid/BLS as allowed by license.
  • Prepare Guest Accident Reports and Security Incident Reports.
