About The Position

Medcor is seeking a full-time EMT or Paramedic to serve as the Clinic Manager at our employer-based occupational health clinic in Vernon, California. This is a great opportunity for an experienced EMT or Paramedic who enjoys hands-on patient care but is ready for something different from the traditional ambulance, 911, or emergency-response environment. As the Clinic Manager, you'll combine direct patient care with clinic leadership, overseeing day-to-day operations while treating workplace injuries and illnesses, supporting workers' compensation and return-to-work programs, and partnering closely with Medcor leadership and our client. As the Clinic Manager, you'll provide hands-on patient care while leading the day-to-day operations of Medcor's onsite occupational health clinic. You'll work collaboratively with Medcor's medical and operational leadership as well as key client stakeholders in Health & Safety, Human Resources, Environmental Health, and Benefits. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships, manage clinic operations, and directly impact the health and safety of the employees you serve.

Requirements

  • Current EMT or Paramedic certification/licensure applicable to the position
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Ability to lead and support the daily operations of an onsite clinic
  • Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills, including comfort working with electronic medical records
  • Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound emergency response bag
  • Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical and operational teams
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-focused approach to care

Nice To Haves

  • Previous occupational health or worksite clinic experience
  • Experience in EMS, emergency medicine, or critical care
  • Previous leadership, lead medic, supervisory, or clinic management experience
  • Experience with workers' compensation, return-to-work programs, or OSHA recordkeeping

Responsibilities

  • Managing daily clinic operations, workflows, logistics, and scheduling
  • Providing hands-on patient care
  • Assessing and treating workplace injuries and illnesses using Medcor's evidence-based clinical protocols
  • Providing first aid and emergency response when needed
  • Supporting ongoing workers' compensation case management
  • Facilitating Return-to-Work (RTW) programs
  • Monitoring treatment plans and coordinating with outside medical providers
  • Conducting pre-employment and post-offer screenings
  • Performing Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
  • Supporting onsite employee health and wellness initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in Medcor's electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Supporting OSHA recordkeeping
  • Partnering with client leadership and Medcor's clinical and operational teams
  • Providing exceptional service to employees and client stakeholders
  • Handling general administrative responsibilities associated with clinic operations
