About The Position
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, House Supervisor, or Emergency Department Physician, the EMT II provides care to Emergency Department patients and obtains and transmits demographic data to other hospital departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Current EMT or Paramedic Certification from CA EMSA.
- Current California Certified Phlebotomy license.
- Current BLS Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an EMT, Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student, or Emergency Department/Admitting Clerk.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Current PALS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to Emergency Department patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse, House Supervisor, or Emergency Department Physician.
- Obtain and transmit demographic data to other hospital departments.
