Full-Time EMT Basic - Lifeguard Ambulance Service
About The Position
Lifeguard Ambulance Service is immediately hiring a Full-Time EMT Basic. This role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance, delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. EMTs will assess patients, determine necessary care, and utilize appropriate medical techniques and equipment to provide emergency services. Responsibilities include documenting patient information, maintaining confidentiality, ensuring a safe and well-stocked environment, and operating an ambulance in compliance with safety policies and traffic laws. The role also requires collaborative work with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow EMTs, as well as participation in community programs to enhance AMR's image and community relations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State EMT License
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, NREMT
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
Nice To Haves
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
- Related experience in healthcare
Responsibilities
- Provide an assessment of patients, determine necessary care and deliver emergency services by utilizing appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
- Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Use appropriate EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment and tools.
- Operate an ambulance in conjunction with applicable company safety policies, and traffic laws related to the operation of emergency medical response vehicles.
- Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow EMTs.
- Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
