About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen Tri-County is seeking a casual/on-call EMT to join our ambulance team. This is your opportunity to do the work you love in beautiful Whitehall, WI in our brand-new hospital! What you will do: Responds, treats, and transports patients in emergency and non-emergency settings. Functions as a crew member of an ambulance in both the 911 and the interfacility transfer environments. Performs EMT level clinical care under the guidelines of Gundersen Health System and Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics medical direction. Work a minimum of 24 hours/month (8, 12, or 24-hour shifts)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Valid driver’s license (DL)
  • Valid certified emergency vehicle operator (CEVO or EVOC) within 1 year of hire
  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (NREMT-P)
  • Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced (AEMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P)
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
