About The Position

Under general supervision, the EMS Technician Paramedic utilizes New York State Department of Health Basic and Advanced Life Support patient care protocols to provide high quality, safe and efficient emergency medical care to patients at assigned EMS coverage events. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in highly stressful emergency situations
  • Ability to lift a 200 lb. person from ground into an ambulance with assistance from one other lifting individual
  • Ability to legibly complete written work
  • Ability to operate a computer and utilize related documentation programs
  • Current certification by NYS-DOH as an EMT-Paramedic
  • Is currently credentialed as an Adv. EMT-Paramedic within the EMS Region to practice as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • Possess a valid healthcare professional CPR certification (AHA, ARC, ASHI, etc.)
