About The Position

Placement Partners provides community-based vocational and residential services to adults with developmental disabilities, TBI, and others requiring assistance to work and live independently. As an Employment Support Specialist, each day is spent helping individuals with disabilities achieve greater independence through meaningful employment and community involvement. You'll meet with clients in the community, at workplaces, and occasionally in their homes to provide job coaching, career exploration, and life-skills training. Your work may include helping someone build a resume, prepare for an interview, navigate public transportation, learn workplace expectations, or resolve challenges on the job. You collaborate with employers, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support employment success and long-term job retention while advocating for each person's goals and needs. Alongside direct support, you document progress, develop individualized goals, attend team meetings, and coordinate services that empower consumers to build confidence, maintain employment, and actively participate in their communities.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Proof of up-to-date auto insurance

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with disabilities in exploring career interests and securing competitive community employment through assessments, job search support, and employment planning.
  • Provide individualized job development services including resume creation, employer outreach, application assistance, interview preparation, and job offer guidance.
  • Deliver on-the-job coaching and mentoring by supporting onboarding, workplace success, scheduling, transportation, and barrier resolution.
  • Promote long-term employment retention through ongoing training, advocacy, problem-solving support, and coordination with employers and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate community integration and life skills development through person-centered support, community engagement, social skills training, and progress tracking.
