About The Position

Join RTR and make a meaningful impact by helping individuals with disabilities build job skills, gain confidence, and move toward community-based employment. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on support in one of our most structured program settings, working closely with a collaborative team to guide individuals toward greater independence. This is a highly active, hands-on role in a structured environment supporting individuals with more intensive needs. You’ll be working both on-site and in the community, providing consistent guidance, behavioral support, and skill-building throughout the day.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
  • Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
  • Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
  • Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job coaching and supervision in 1:1 and group settings at program sites and community businesses
  • Help individuals develop job readiness, workplace behavior, and functional skills
  • Implement employment and behavioral support plans in partnership with Case Managers and leadership
  • Track progress through daily documentation, assessments, and payroll tracking
  • Support transportation and participation in community-based job sites
  • Assist with hands-on care and behavioral support, including trained safety interventions
  • Maintain a structured, supportive environment while modeling professional workplace behavior
  • Collaborate with team members and help train and support new staff
