As an Employment Specialist, you’ll help individuals with barriers to employment find meaningful work, build relationships with local employers, and support people as they take real steps forward in their lives. This role is perfect for someone who doesn’t want to sit behind a desk all day—you’ll spend the majority of your time out in the community, making connections and creating opportunities. This is a fast-paced, people-centered role where no two days look the same. You will: Support a caseload of individuals actively seeking and maintaining employment Build real relationships with clients—helping them identify goals, strengths, and opportunities Connect with local employers weekly to develop job opportunities tailored to your clients Spend ~60–65% of your time in the community (job sites, coffee shops, offices, etc.) Help clients navigate benefits (SSI, Medicaid, etc.) and understand how employment impacts them Provide ongoing support to help clients get—and keep—jobs Collaborate with a supportive team to problem-solve and celebrate wins Document services and progress in a timely and organized way We’re looking for someone who brings energy, ownership, and heart to their work. You might be a great fit if you: Are self-motivated and can manage your schedule without constant oversight Have strong communication and relationship-building skills Enjoy being out in the community and networking with others Are reliable, organized, and follow through on what you start Have experience—or interest—in mental health, social services, case management, or workforce development Are solution-oriented and able to navigate challenges creatively You’re not just helping someone find a job—you’re helping them rebuild confidence, stability, and independence.
