About The Position

The Employment Specialist will plan and implement job development strategies for individuals, assess their professional strengths and weaknesses, and help them utilize their motivations in the workplace. This role involves assisting individuals with job searches, resume completion, and learning job functions. The specialist will also create and update progress records and reports, foster a positive employer/employee relationship, and act as a public representative of Reaching Beyond Limits Employment Services, always projecting a professional image.

Requirements

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective and succinct written documentation.
Strong time-management.
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
Ability to stay organized when dealing with multiple employees simultaneously.
Prior experience working with people with disabilities.
Upbeat, motivational attitude.
High School Diploma
2 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, automobile insurance that meets $100,000/$300,000 liability minimum, and willingness to transport clients.
ACRE Certificate required (if not completed at the time of hire, the candidate must take it within the first nine months of employment).

Nice To Haves

Experience with Google Suite is a plus.
A bachelor's degree in human services is strongly suggested.
