About The Position

The Supported Employment Supervisor will oversee and manage the supported employment program for individuals, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and resources to succeed in the workplace. The Supervisor will work closely with job coaches, program coordinators, and other stakeholders to develop personalized plans and provide ongoing guidance and support to program participants. The supervisor will have oversight of programs within Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 3-5 Years Related Experience Job Coaching Individuals with Disabilities
  • 2 Years Supervisory/Managerial Experience
  • ACRE Certification or CESP Certification upon hire (within 6 months)
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee team of supported employment specialists who provide job coaching, support, benefits counseling to individuals
  • Develop individualized plans and goals for each individual in the supported employment program, based on their skills, interests, and career aspirations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with employers and businesses to identify suitable job opportunities for individuals
  • Provide training and guidance staff on job development strategies, effective communication techniques, and person-centered approaches
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, job coaching as needed
  • Develop strategies to address any barriers to employment
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of individuals in the supported employment program, and make adjustments to plans and supports as needed
  • Advocate for the rights and inclusion of individuals in the workplace, and promote awareness and understanding among employers and coworkers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of services provided, progress notes, and other relevant information
  • Stay up-to-date with current research, best practices, and regulations related to supported employment for individuals
  • Collaborate with other service providers and agencies involved in the support and care of individuals with IDD
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Provide counseling and support to individuals
  • Represent Merakey at external meetings, conferences, etc.
  • Coordinate monthly staff meetings
  • Be familiar with billing processes
  • Report all significant incidents within required timeframes
  • Cooperative with state agencies for any investigations and/or inspections
  • Maintain contact with individual support teams
  • Maintain flexible schedule to include evening and weekend hours as deemed necessary
  • Adhere to all Merakey policies and procedures as identified
  • Receive ACRE certification
  • May perform other related duties when assigned or required
