About The Position

Office of Workforce Development: The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) administers several federal workforce programs and oversees a network of local OhioMeansJobs centers, which provide free job training and other services for Ohioans looking for work and employers seeking workers. OWD also assists job seekers through OhioMeansJobs.com , an online job matching system that brings both employers and job seekers to one easy-to-use website. What You’ll Do: Read and interpret Comprehensive Case Management & Employment Program (CCMEP) policy which includes both the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Youth program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs. Answer technical assistance questions received from local stakeholders and the public about CCMEP policy. Ensure local CCMEP programs are following both state and federal guidelines. Develop and present training in-person and virtually on CCMEP policy, strategies, systems use and the coaching case management model. Visit local programs and meet with them both in-person and virtually to provide technical assistance related to CCMEP, strategies, systems use and the coaching case management model. Review performance corrective action plans and develop responses. Review CCMEP local plans and local policies to recommend approval or modifications. Draft and review written materials about CCMEP policy, procedures, systems use and coaching model for distribution. Work with internal partners in performance, policy, systems, other programs and other subject matter experts to develop content and provide technical assistance.

Requirements

  • OPTION 1 : 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in state & federal regulations governing implemented training &/or employment programs AND 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in public relations AND 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in human resources training & development programs AND 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in labor market data & employment trends AND 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in manpower planning AND 3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in operation of computer terminal &/or personal computer Or: Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
