About The Position

Jackson Lewis P.C. is hiring an Of Counsel attorney for its Miami office. The firm focuses on employment and labor law and works with employers to develop proactive strategies, policies, and business-oriented solutions. The role involves defending and litigating employment-related lawsuits and agency charges; advising, counseling, and training employers on employment and labor law matters; and representing employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies, and at mediations. Matters may include class and collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour, contract, employment tort, and non-compete cases.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
• At least 9 years of experience in employment litigation, including significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity.
• Current Florida Bar admission in good standing.
• Supervisory experience over associate and paralegal work, including delegating assignments and providing feedback.
• In-depth understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.
