About The Position

Looking for courtroom experience without billable hour targets? We're hiring an Employment & Litigation Lawyer to join our in-house legal team. This is a rare opportunity to build meaningful litigation experience while working directly with business leaders in a large and growing organization. You'll manage files from start to finish, appear before courts and tribunals, participate in negotiations and mediations, and play a key role in resolving employment and litigation matters. Unlike many in-house roles, this position offers hands-on advocacy work, early responsibility, and the opportunity to take ownership of your files from day one.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
• 1–4 years of litigation experience, employment law experience considered a strong asset
• Experience appearing before courts, tribunals, or administrative bodies
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal drafting skills
• Ability to independently manage files and competing priorities
• Sound judgment and a practical, business-minded approach to problem solving
• A desire to take ownership, make decisions, and drive matters to resolution

Nice To Haves

• Employment law experience considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Manage employment and litigation files from pleadings through resolution
• Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, and administrative bodies
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, applications, and settlement materials
• Participate in mediations and other dispute resolution processes
• Provide practical legal advice to business leaders
• Support policy development and proactive risk management initiatives
• Help resolve workplace issues before they escalate into disputes
