About The Position

Ogletree Deakins is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate for its Stamford, Connecticut office. The role involves joining a long-established practice that represents local and national employers and taking a significant role in labor and employment law matters. The associate will have extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Connecticut and remain in good standing.
• At least 2 years of employment litigation experience.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Passion for employment law and ability to relate to and inspire confidence with sophisticated business clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research.
• Draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings.
• Attend court conferences.
• Handle discovery-related activities and investigations.
• Draft agency position statements.
• Counsel clients on employment-law-related matters.
