About The Position

Handle all types of employment law counseling for a Fortune 500 multi-national high-tech company with offices in the U.S. and globally. Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters, including state and federal courts and regulatory agencies. Oversee internal investigations, working closely with internal investigators, HR, and senior management. Develop employment-related training programs and deliver trainings to employees in large and small group settings. Manage outside counsel and budgets. Manage projects related to employment/HR issues and data privacy, and other special projects as needs arise. Project-manage and provide legal guidance on data privacy issues, both U.S. and international.

Requirements

7-10 years of employment law practice experience
Minimum of 4+ years of private practice in a reputable law firm
Minimum of 2+ years of in-house experience
Experience with international as well as U.S. employment laws strongly preferred
Experience with data privacy issues preferred
Must be admitted to practice and in good standing in Oregon
Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Must have strong analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers in different departments and locations
Must be comfortable and effective working in a cross-functional, matrixed, team-oriented work environment

Nice To Haves

Preferably also admitted to practice and in good standing in California
