About The Position

Wilson Elser is seeking a skilled and motivated Employment, Labor & Education Litigation Associate to join our growing litigation team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a nationally recognized firm and provide comprehensive legal counsel to a diverse range of clients across public and private sectors in employment, education, and labor law. This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

Requirements

JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the State of New York
3-5 years of litigation experience with a focus on employment law
Experience handling discrimination and wage and hour claims under federal, state, and local laws
Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

Manage a litigation caseload, from inception through resolution.
Represent employers across a wide variety of industries, including: manufacturing, hospitality, medical providers, higher ed, and independent schools, with employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract and collective bargaining litigation issues.
Provide day-to-day legal advice and training to clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment, education and labor laws.
Collaborate with Partners and senior attorneys on complex matters and trial preparation.
Regularly handle and participate in court appearances, mediations and depositions.
Maintain regular communication with clients, providing case updates and strategic guidance.
