About The Position

MARC, Inc. is seeking a dependable Employment Floater for our Employment Department who will be responsible for assisting persons with developmental disabilities achieve their employment and community goals. They will develop natural supports and assist individuals with personal growth and reaching their goals. The ideal candidate will have compassion, previous experience assisting adults with special needs, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good judgment.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and vehicle with current registration and insurance, as driving is a requirement of the position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of proactive thinking and positive supports
  • Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR, First Aid, PMT and Med Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals participating in employment and transitional programs.
  • Assist individuals with developing and maintaining job skills, workplace behaviors, and community skills.
  • Support individuals at job sites, volunteer opportunities, community activities, and program locations.
  • Encourage independence, choice-making, self-advocacy, and participation.
  • Follow individual plans, behavioral support plans, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
  • Provide coverage for staff who are absent or when additional staffing support is needed.
  • Assist with transportation, when applicable.
  • Promote positive relationships between individuals, coworkers, employers, and community members.
  • Complete required documentation, progress notes, attendance records, and incident reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity and privacy of individuals receiving services.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Career and Employment Services
