About The Position

The Employment & Family Stability Manager will provide case management services to eligible individuals who are motivated to become employment ready. This position will create centered goal plans that will empower the individual to become self-sufficient in the areas of employment, housing, transportation and financial literacy. Through support, education and referrals to other community services, they will empower the people we serve to achieve greater long-term economic stability. Case Management services will focus on addressing barriers to adequate employment as well as developing work readiness skill sets. Participants will be enrolled in the Road to Success program through the United Way of the Capital Region with the Case Management supports being in place through one year of employment to ensure success and long-term stability. This postion will recruit eligible applicants for case management for at least 35 and up to 50 cases annually. They will track all case management sessions via required case notes and is responsible for tracking all program statistics monthly, budget for assistance and preparing/submitting quarterly reports. They will attend and participate in monthly case management meetings with the core solution partner case management team. This position is grant funded and ongoing funding is contingent on program results and report compliance. The Employment & Family Stability Manager provides compassionate, holistic case management services that equip individuals to overcome barriers to employment and achieve long-term self-sufficiency. This position recruits and enrolls participants, develops individualized employment and goal plans, provides ongoing coaching and support, facilitates job readiness and financial literacy training, and connects participants with community resources. This postion maintains accurate program documentation, tracks outcomes, prepares grant and funding reports, and ensures compliance with program requirements. In addition to managing an active caseload, this position provides leadership for the United Way Workforce Development partnership by coordinating referrals, supporting and mentoring partner case managers, facilitating collaborative meetings, promoting best practices, monitoring program quality, and strengthening relationships with employers, community organizations, and referral partners. The position plays a key role in measuring program impact, sharing success stories, and advancing workforce development initiatives throughout the community. Working collaboratively with The Salvation Army's Programs & Services team and community partners, Employment & Family Stability Manager helps individuals build the skills, confidence, and resources needed to secure meaningful employment and achieve lasting stability. Requirements

  • Associates degree or 2-3 years of equivalent professional experience in Human Service field preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy
  • Knowledge of cultural flexibility, competency in working with multicultural participants particularly individuals in poverty
  • Must be able to adapt to a changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess good interpersonal relationship skills, including professional phone and in-person etiquette
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets, especially Excel and Outlook
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
  • Completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment
  • Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army
