About The Position

Crossroads Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Employment Coordinator to support the Louisiana National Guard's Work for Warriors Louisiana (W4WLA) Employment Outreach Program. The Employment Coordinator will provide employment outreach, career-development assistance, and workforce networking services to Louisiana Service Members, veterans, and eligible family members. This position is regionally focused and requires the Employment Coordinator to develop relationships with employers, community organizations, educational institutions, military units, and other employment partners to connect qualified individuals with meaningful, long-term employment opportunities. The Employment Coordinator will work directly with clients to assess employment needs, provide career counseling, assist with resumes and interviewing, identify appropriate employment opportunities, and support individuals transitioning from military service into the civilian workforce.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field involving: Sales, Recruiting, Employment outreach services
  • Basic knowledge of: U.S. military structure, Military branches and components, Military rank structure
  • Proficiency with basic computer operations and standard software platforms, including: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate employment outreach activities within an assigned Louisiana region and develop relationships with employers, corporations, agencies, and other Employment Partners.
  • Conduct initial needs assessments with clients to determine the appropriate level of employment assistance, including immediate job placement, career counseling, and transferable-skills identification.
  • Provide individualized employment and career-development assistance to Service Members, veterans, and eligible family members.
  • Assist clients throughout the employment process, from job search and application through successful employment and job retention.
  • Provide professional resume writing and resume review assistance.
  • Conduct interview preparation and interview-skills training.
  • Help clients identify transferable military skills and translate military experience into qualifications applicable to civilian employment.
  • Match each eligible employment lead with appropriate job opportunities based on the individual's skills, abilities, career objectives, and employer requirements.
  • Work toward providing each eligible lead with a minimum of three appropriate employment opportunities within the first 30 days after requesting assistance.
  • Support program goals of generating a minimum of two hires per quarter within the assigned region.
  • Provide transitional employment services to individuals returning from full-time military service and re-entering the civilian workforce.
  • Provide clients with information regarding applicable military educational benefits and other employment or educational resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community alliances, working groups, task forces, trade schools, colleges, universities, and other organizations that can provide employment and career-development resources.
  • Conduct regular site visits with Employment Partners to understand their operations, workforce needs, organizational changes, and available employment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing regional outreach strategy for connecting clients with employment services and referrals.
  • Provide onsite employment services to military units throughout the assigned region or territory on a quarterly basis.
  • Support hiring events, employment networking events, military drills, and Government-sponsored events.
  • Attend applicable Yellow Ribbon Program events and provide W4WLA program information and employment resources throughout the deployment cycle.
  • Attend at least 60% of applicable local DRU/BN/UNIT drills and Government-sponsored events as required by the program.
  • Provide employment and education presentations covering topics such as resume development, job-search strategies, interviewing, and available educational opportunities.
  • Identify regional events and provide event information in accordance with established program approval requirements.
  • Conduct surveys based on established Return on Investment (ROI) metrics.
  • Maintain accurate and current information within the program's approved Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Use the CRM daily to document leads, client activity, employer partnerships, employment outcomes, outreach efforts, and other required program data.
  • Track and analyze information supporting program performance and ROI measurements.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly regional assessments addressing: Outreach activities, Number of Employment Partners, Number of customers served, Marketing and outreach effectiveness, Employment outcomes, Other required program metrics
  • Maintain accurate documentation of outreach activities, meetings, events, client services, and employment outcomes.
  • Coordinate closely with the W4WLA Manager and other Employment Coordinators to ensure regional activities align with the overall program strategy.
  • Support collaboration and information sharing with other Louisiana National Guard Service Member and Family Programs.
  • Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and sensitive Government information in accordance with applicable DoD and Army requirements.
  • Comply with Louisiana National Guard installation, security, information technology, and operational policies.
