About The Position

Warren Consolidated Schools is seeking candidates for the position of Employment Coordinator - Instructional for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is part of the Employee and Fiscal Services department and will be a 12-month/261-day position located at the Administration Building. The primary function of this job is to provide comprehensive human resources support for instructional staff, including managing job postings, job search protocols, mentorship support, instructional qualification and certification records, and ensuring legal compliance in hiring practices.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in job related area required
  • Maintain compliance and professional development records, employee certification and licensure information for all job functions for the purpose of maintaining policy, contractual, and legal requirements.
  • Maintain employee information (e.g. seniority, location, assignment) for the purpose of accurate reporting and ensuring that staffing allocations are maintained.
  • Maintain job descriptions for the purpose of accurate alignment to district objectives.
  • Maintain processes and procedures related to changes of employment for the purpose of maintaining organizational records and communication with relevant staff (union, supervisor, human resources and business department).
  • Manage web-based application database (e.g. Hire) for the purpose of posting and managing available employment or assignment vacancies for instructional staff.
  • Manage new hire processing for all instructional staff for the purpose of effective and consistent application of required paperwork.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, seminars and training sessions as assigned for the purpose of coordinating activities, conveying information, and ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
  • Prepare written materials (e.g. reports, memos, letters, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
  • Process all instructional staff changes of employment for the purpose of providing accurate assignment information to all necessary departments and ensuring proper historical documentation.
  • Support applicants, internal and external, for the purpose of navigating the online application program.
  • Utilize the online application system for the purpose of creating reports, setting employer preferences, communicating with applicants, and conducting local, regional, and national candidate searches for instructional staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in or higher in job related area preferred
  • MSBO Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a variety of programs and activities for the purpose of delivering professional development and training in conformance to established guidelines.
  • Coordinate external relationships with area universities and MDE for the purpose of collecting certification information, recruiting new teacher candidates; and managing student teacher placement.
  • Coordinates recruiting and placement of staff for the purpose of ensuring optimum staffing efficiency.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate the District’s mentor program for teachers for the purpose of effective peer support in the maintenance of quality teaching and learning.
  • Evaluate documentation and certification for the purpose of taking appropriate action to ensure compliance with district and state placement requirements is maintained and determining appropriate mentorship, pay levels, and tenure processing.
  • Implement comprehensive hire, placement and termination practices (e.g. new hire, layoff, recall, etc.) for instructional staff for the purpose of consistent application of required paperwork, communications, and legal compliance requirements.
