About The Position

The Employment Compliance Associate Manager is responsible for managing processes related to the review and triage of employee hotline matters and the investigation, response, and resolution of charges filed with federal, state, and local EEO agencies. This role involves independently managing and conducting workplace investigations, administering the company's reporting system, coordinating responses to employment-related claims and agency inquiries, and analyzing legal and compliance risks. The Associate Manager will also serve as a liaison with internal and external counsel, research employment laws, and prepare reports for senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience working with HR systems, preferably Workday

  • Ability to assess facts and law to make sound strategic decisions in defense of administrative claims
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university
  • 3 - 5 + years of EEO complaint or charge investigation experience
  • Equivalent combination of education, experience or certifications

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and conduct workplace investigations involving employee complaints, ethics concerns, policy violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related matters.
  • Administer the company's reporting system, including intake, triage, risk assessment, case assignment, and tracking of reported concerns, including matters involving senior leaders and executives.
  • Coordinate responses to federal, state, and local employment-related claims and agency inquiries, including EEO charges, wage and hour claims, retaliation claims, and regulatory audits.
  • Gather and analyze evidence, interview witnesses, assess findings, and prepare investigative summaries and recommendations for Human Resources, Compliance, and Legal leadership.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal and external counsel to support case strategy, position statements, agency responses, and resolution efforts.
  • Research and apply federal, state, and local employment laws to support investigations, claims management, and compliance activities.
  • Assess legal and compliance risks, conduct cost-benefit analysis, and recommend appropriate response and resolution strategies based on investigation findings and applicable employment laws.
  • Negotiate and resolve employment-related matters within delegated settlement authority and established Company guidelines.
  • Review internal investigation reports to ensure consistency, completeness, and adherence to company standards and legal requirements.
  • Support government audits, regulatory reviews, and investigations conducted by agencies such as the EEOC, Department of Labor, OSHA, and state agencies.
  • Analyze claims, investigations, hotline activity, and compliance trends to identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and business leaders to promote compliance, mitigate risk, and ensure consistent application of Company policies and employment practices.
  • Prepare reports, metrics, and recommendations for senior leadership regarding employment compliance risks, case outcomes, and emerging trends.
