Responsible and caring individual needed to mentor and provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities at their job sites, and job development for individuals seeking employment in the San Bernardino County. The Employment Coach role involves supporting individuals with job development, including resume building and practice interviews, learning employability skills, transportation to and from work, assistance with accessing their community, maintaining employment and productivity, discovering interests, skills, and employment goals, and creating a meaningful daily schedule. A primary goal is to develop friendly, professional, and respectful relationships with the individuals served and to help them build positive relationships with co-workers, roommates, and neighbors. The Employment Coach is responsible for carrying out directives from management, ensuring service and support needs are met, providing mentorship, and prioritizing health, safety, and quality of life. They will be skilled in job development and on-the-job supports using PBIS and Instructional Support Strategies to help individuals secure competitive integrated jobs. The role also involves gathering information for Individualized Support Plans (ISP) and utilizing digital tools like Zoom for remote services and online job searching. Maintaining strong business relationships with employers and volunteer sites is also a key responsibility.
