About The Position

The Employer Relations Coordinator will play an integral role on a team that builds meaningful connections between employers and College of Letters & Science students while fostering strategic employer partnerships that strengthen SuccessWorks' mission. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Employer Engagement, the Employer Relations Coordinator will serve as a primary point of contact for employers, providing guidance on effective ways to engage with L&S students while helping them navigate recruiting opportunities that align with their hiring goals and student interests. This position will build and maintain employer relationships through regular communication and consultation, help connect employers with meaningful opportunities to engage with students through SuccessWorks programs and events, coordinate participation in career fairs, networking events, and other engagement opportunities, identify opportunities to deepen employer partnerships, and contribute to the continued development of SuccessWorks' employer engagement strategy and employer partnership initiatives. In addition, the Employer Relations Coordinator will strengthen employer engagement operations through accurate data tracking, management, and analysis of employer engagements and outcomes. This role includes collaboration with SuccessWorks staff and campus partners to identify opportunities for growth, share employer insights and workforce trends, and develop resources to help students better understand and engage with employers and career opportunities. The Employer Relations Coordinator plays an essential role in delivering a coordinated, high-quality employer experience while advancing student career outcomes, employer partnerships, and the long-term sustainability of SuccessWorks programs. This position is full-time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week) and offers a hybrid work schedule that includes both in-person and remote work. Specific on-site and remote days will be determined upon hire, in coordination with the supervisor.

Requirements

  • At least one year of professional work experience in higher education, career services, student services, employer relations, alumni relations, nonprofits, corporate partnerships, or related fields.
  • Experience developing and sustaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, clients, partners, or community members.
  • Experience coordinating projects, programs, or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and priorities.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across departments, teams, or functional areas to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience advising or consulting with employers, students, customers, or partners to identify needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Experience supporting the planning and implementation of events, programs, or engagement experiences.
  • Experience using customer or constituent relationship management (CRM) systems , databases, or other technology tools to track engagement, improve processes, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Experience developing and delivering communications to external audiences through individual outreach, presentations, email campaigns, newsletters, or similar channels.

Responsibilities

  • Provides students with information about internship opportunities, career planning, and/or employment opportunities and/or coaches students through the recruiting process.
  • Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities.
  • Serves as a point of contact for prospective employers providing advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addressing their needs.
  • Proactively develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries.
