This role facilitates orientation and ensures daily tasks stay on track. The Employee Relations Assistant collaborates with new hires both on and offsite for benefit and employee relations onboarding, including first-day communication, conducting new hire orientation, and ensuring all required new hire tasks and documents are completed in a timely manner. This position is responsible for verifying I-9 documentation and completing digital I-9 forms, including E-verify, in adherence to applicable laws. The assistant provides guidance to employees on maintaining their personal data in the HRIS and updates employee personal, position, or seat data as needed, notifying IT and other applicable departments for changes like title changes. This role serves as the first line for customer service functions by answering calls, triaging the inbox, answering frequently asked questions, and addressing employee requests, referring complex questions to the appropriate employee relations team member. Additionally, the assistant supports the Employee Relations team with internal audits for compliance, updates communications and announcements, and adds employee documents to their files. The role also assists with wellness benefits communication and engagement, including onsite clinic, chiropractic services, and fitness center information, and updates contact lists and seating charts. Other duties as assigned.
