About The Position

This role supports Morrison Healthcare associates by connecting individuals experiencing hardship with internal programs and community-based resources. Support may be provided based on needs assessments, self-referrals, or referrals from leaders and other appropriate partners. The position helps associates locate resources related to housing, food security, legal assistance, mental health, financial hardship, and other essential needs. It also helps associates navigate Morrison Healthcare and Compass Group support programs, including Headspace and Caring Hearts, while providing a safe, respectful, and confidential environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in health education, social work, public health, human services, or a related field.
Minimum of two years of related experience; healthcare, community outreach, social services, employee assistance, or resource-navigation experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to handle sensitive personal information with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
Strong knowledge of—or ability to develop familiarity with—community assistance programs and available health and wellness resources.
Ability to build productive relationships with associates, operational leaders, Human Resources partners, and community organizations.
Strong organizational, documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively within time-sensitive situations.
Ability to be onsite and provide occasional support during evenings, nights, and weekends as business and associate needs require.

Nice To Haves

Master of Social Work or Certified Health and Wellness Coach credential preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct and analyze needs assessments to understand the social determinants of health affecting associates and identify appropriate internal and community resources.
Connect associates with available Morrison Healthcare and Compass Group programs, including Headspace for mental health and work-life support and Caring Hearts for eligible emergency assistance.
Help associates identify community resources related to housing, food assistance, transportation, childcare, eldercare, legal services, financial wellness, mental health care, and other essential needs.
Serve as a knowledgeable partner and advocate for associates completing applications for assistance, enrolling in eligible benefits, or navigating available support services.
Coordinate with Caring Hearts and other applicable emergency-assistance resources to help associates understand the application process and obtain support during qualifying circumstances.
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and service providers to expand the resources available to associates.
Partner with department managers, Human Resources, and other appropriate stakeholders to coordinate associate support while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
Conduct educational sessions that promote whole-person health and increase awareness of available wellbeing and assistance programs.
Complete follow-up meetings at appropriate intervals, including 30, 60, and 90 days and one year, to assess continued stability and identify additional support needs.
Track program participation, outcomes, recurring needs, and opportunities for improvement while protecting associates’ confidential information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
