About The Position

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care. The hospice receives patients from referring institutions throughout New York City and the entire tristate area. Requirements

• Four (4) - eight (8) years Medical/Surgical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills with ability to take initiative and function autonomously.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• A Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure by the New York State Board of Nursing.

Nice To Haves

• Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred.
• Prior Employee Health Department or similar experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Employee Health Staff Nurse provides nursing care to Calvary Hospital employees, volunteers, and visitors.
• Works collaboratively with or in the absence of the Employee Health Department Director to ensure the daily operation and delivery of care in the Employee Health Department.
