Guides new employees, researchers, volunteers, residents, students and other Health Care Workers (HCW)s through the preplacement and annual screening process. Assists with access issues, information collection and management of data, and ensures consistent adherence to applied biosafety laboratory, infection control and EHS/OIC standards. Provides medical surveillance for occupationally based exposures; coordinates and collaborates with other departments, Medical Director, and Source patients to develop and implement a plan of treatment that is appropriate for the employee patient. Coordinates a comprehensive immunization program for employees, and provides employee orientation and education related to occupational illness and injury.
