Employee Health Nurse - Full time
About The Position
The Employee Health Nurse adheres to departmental procedures and policies and maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards, sustaining those standards in daily operations. The role coordinates surveillance screenings and immunization programs, collects data and enters it into Lawson and EPIC, and reports compliance statistics to committees across Cooper University Hospital. It also involves maintaining and calibrating equipment, ordering medical supplies for surveillance and immunization programs, and identifying process improvements to screening programs, including schedule development, form creation, amendments, and updates. The nurse serves as a resource for general leave of absence and workers’ compensation questions.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of acute care experience.
- Graduate of a practical nursing program from an accredited school.
- Current New Jersey LPN license.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Very good verbal and written communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and deadlines.
