Employee Health Nurse (Full or Part-Time)
About The Position
The Employee Health Nurse supports the organization's employee health, safety, and wellness programs by promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Responsibilities include coordinating pre-employment and ongoing health requirements, managing immunization and fit-testing programs, supporting new employee onboarding, investigating workplace injuries, and monitoring employee health during infectious disease events. The role collaborates with internal departments and public health agencies to ensure regulatory compliance, facilitate return-to-work processes, and provide education that promotes employee safety and well-being.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in occupational health or employee health services
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in health assessment and case management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice To Haves
- Certification in occupational health nursing (COHN)
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of public health principles and infectious disease control
