About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an Employee Health Nurse for a clinic-based position serving the Louisville, Floyd, and LaGrange clinics. This role involves delivering various components of the Employee Health Services (EHS) program for the adult population, including new candidate health screening, annual health compliance, respirator clearance and fit testing, booster immunizations, biometrics, drug screens, cognitive screening, post-exposure services, and worker’s compensation and injury reduction services. Services may also be provided to minors with parental consent. Employees will be part of a specific team with a designated work location, but may be cross-trained to support other program focuses and work at multiple locations. Those in program support services outside of clinics may be eligible for remote work if approved and productivity is maintained, while clinic-based staff are not eligible for remote work. The role also involves creating a positive and collaborative work environment and collaborating with various Baptist entities to promote company initiatives, ensure timely compliance, and support continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Associate degree; ADN or BS with one year experience.
  • Experience in employee health or occupational health.
  • Professional License or Certification required.
  • Life Support Training or Certification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.) required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver new candidate health screening.
  • Manage annual health compliance.
  • Perform respirator clearance and fit testing.
  • Administer booster immunizations.
  • Conduct biometrics screenings.
  • Perform drug screens.
  • Conduct cognitive screenings.
  • Provide post-exposure services.
  • Manage worker’s compensation and injury reduction services.
  • Create a positive, supportive, collaborative work environment for EHS program staff and clinic patients.
  • Collaborate with various Baptist entities to establish and promote company initiatives.
  • Provide convenient services.
  • Support timely compliance, associated documentation and/or reporting.
  • Ensure continuity of care for individuals receiving services through the EHS program.
