About The Position

Founded in 1912, Dignity Health - St. John’s Regional Medical Center is a 265-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Oxnard, California. This position is responsible for coordinating and performing the Employee Health functions, including employee health screenings, processing new hire applicants, accurately documenting health data, providing employee health education, participating in workplace health and safety programs, assisting with Workers' Compensation claim management, and providing clerical support coverage. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of CommonSpirit, the Employee Health Nurse is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, and evaluation of workplace health services for employees, volunteers, students, and contractors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Minimum two years experience in Employee Health, ambulatory care, or occupational health nursing

  • Seeking guidance within licensee’s scope of practice
  • Promptly reporting any potential or suspected violation of Commonspirit’s Standards of Conduct, policy or procedures, or applicable laws/regulations
  • Participating with any investigation, risk evaluation, and working collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor, mitigate risk, and corrective action plans as outlined by compliance programs
