About The Position

This position is for an Employee Health LVN at Dignity Health - St. John’s Regional Medical Center, a 265-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital in Oxnard, California. The hospital, founded in 1912, serves over 85,000 patients annually and offers a full range of services including emergency, heart, orthopedic, and cancer care. The Employee Health Nurse, a licensed professional caregiver, is responsible for coordinating and performing Employee Health functions. This includes employee health screenings, processing new hire applicants, accurately documenting health data, providing employee health education, participating in workplace health and safety programs, and assisting with Workers' Compensation claim management. The role also provides clerical support coverage. The incumbent must comply with all applicable laws and rules, including the CommonSpirit Standards of Conduct, policies, and procedures, and is expected to seek guidance within their scope of practice, report potential violations, and participate in investigations and risk mitigation efforts. Proficiency in using Google is also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivailent
  • Current CA Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Minimum two years experience in Employee Health, ambulatory care, or occupational health nursing

  • Seeks guidance within licensee’s scope of practice
  • Promptly reports any potential or suspected violation of Commonspirit’s Standards of Conduct, policy or procedures, or applicable laws/regulations
  • Participate with any investigation, risk evaluation, and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor, mitigate risk, and corrective action plans as outlined by compliance programs
