About The Position

As the first impression of our company for a new applicant, the Employee Experience/Community Relations Specialist will work closely with Medina Forest Meadows AND Wadsworth stores to manage open positions, screen applicants for departments, and create a positive experience for our applicants through the recruiting process. After the applicant is hired, this position will assist the new teammate during the onboarding and initial training processes to ensure the new teammate is set up for success with Buehler’s. This position was developed to help make Buehler’s a Great Place To Work!

Requirements

  • Attained at least 18 years of age
  • Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
  • Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems

Responsibilities

  • Manage open positions
  • Screen applicants for departments
  • Create a positive experience for applicants through the recruiting process
  • Assist new teammates during onboarding and initial training processes
  • Keep training catalog up to date
  • Contact with all departments for store hiring needs
  • Evaluate candidates and use Talent Management as a resource
  • Post internal job flyers by timeclocks
  • Set up initial interviews (Phone screening or face to face)
  • Complete Dayforce interview notes and decline/advance candidate
  • Update step in process
  • Schedule final interview with Department Hiring Manager
  • Responsible for communication with declined candidates
  • Communicate with HR when a position has been filled and needs closed
  • Manage background checks
  • Manage I-9 process
  • Manage new hire/rehire form in Dayforce
  • Assist with uniform orders
  • Conduct Buehler’s overview (playbook)
  • Provide introduction to Buehler’s and Culture
  • Assist with completing Employee Onboarding Forms
  • Facilitate TeamRelate
  • Explain Employee Benefits/Perks
  • Explain Wellness Program
  • Show new hires Dayforce basics
  • Conduct store tours
  • Explain store phone usage
  • Reinforce career paths
  • Coordinate Department Training
  • Meet with Store Managers to discuss hiring needs
  • Prepare for Department Hand Off
  • Monitor Onboarding Completion
  • Monitor compliance reports for store
  • Monitor IOP Completion
  • Manage Cross Training schedule
  • Track training hours by employee and report them to Support Office
