About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Structures Instructor to join their Production Systems Training team. This role involves delivering classroom and hands-on instruction in aircraft structures, materials, repair techniques, and corrosion control to both new hires and experienced mechanics. The instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum, evaluating student progress, maintaining training lab equipment, and ensuring all instruction adheres to process requirements. This position may require working multiple shifts and potential travel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft system or structures design, development and production
  • Experience performing aircraft structural and mechanical work
  • Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting Technical Data
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work time
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Fighter Jet Structures procedures i.e. precision drilling, fastener installation/removal, bonding and grounding, torquing, safetying devices, etc.
  • Experience transferring knowledge through formal or informal modes of training

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging classroom lectures, lab demonstrations, and practical workshops on aircraft structures topics.
  • Develop, review, and update lesson plans, course materials, lab exercises, and assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain training equipment, jigs, fixtures, and materials for hands-on labs.
  • Assess student performance through written exams, practical evaluations, and progress reports.
  • Teach students safe work practices and adherence to maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers, subject matter experts, and operations to continually improve training programs.
  • Keep current with advances in materials, repair methods, and industry best practices.
