Total Benefit Solutions, a wholesale employee benefits brokerage, full-service HR solutions provider, and third-party administrator, is seeking an Employee Benefits Wholesale Sales Representative. The team is focused on providing innovative insurance solutions with unparalleled support. This role is for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Representative to expand our employee benefits wholesale business across the Pacific Northwest. The representative will sell through insurance brokers, cultivate and manage broker relationships, and assist insurance professionals in offering superior benefit solutions to their clients in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and the broader PNW market. This is a high-opportunity position for a self-starter who is highly motivated, comfortable working independently, and eager to develop a significant territory. The role offers autonomy to pioneer new business in established markets, lead strategic growth initiatives, and directly influence the company's growth trajectory, with strong internal support and a diverse portfolio of benefit solutions.

Requirements

  • 3 years of work experience specializing in employee benefits, insurance, broker sales, wholesale sales, or a related business development role is preferred.
  • Must have a Life & Health insurance license in their state of residence.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of carrier products and networks in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Have previously established relationships with the Pacific Northwest broker community.
  • Excellent listening and communications skills to effectively identify client’s needs, provide guidance, and close sales.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels; ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Professional, responsive, and consistent with follow-through.
  • Curious and willing to learn the employee benefits marketplace.
  • Relationship-driven and comfortable building trust with brokers and business partners.

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, any field; equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow relationships with insurance brokers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
  • Promote employee benefits products, programs, and wholesale solutions to broker partners.
  • Identify new broker opportunities and build a consistent pipeline of prospects.
  • Help expand new business opportunities within existing markets.
  • Take ownership of selected growth initiatives designed to increase broker engagement and market presence.
  • Educate brokers on available solutions, market opportunities, and how our team can support their clients.
  • Work closely with internal sales, underwriting, account management, and leadership teams to deliver a strong broker experience.
  • Represent the company professionally at broker meetings, industry events, association events, and networking opportunities.
  • Track sales activity, opportunities, follow-up items, and pipeline progress.
  • Bring energy, creativity, and ownership to the role every day.
