About The Position

The primary function of this role is to serve as the main business contact for the client by providing customer service to assigned accounts and representing client needs and goals within the organization. This position also provides support to the Producer while maintaining effective communication, documentation, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience within the employee benefits and health insurance sector
  • Must possess a valid Life & Health Insurance license, or be willing to obtain the license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong customer and client-service orientation with a commitment to delivering high-quality support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive approach to client communication, engaging with clients regularly in a professional, timely, and efficient manner
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client partnerships
  • Ability to develop and maintain an understanding of assigned clients’ industries, company culture, products/services, and communication strategies
  • Client-focused mindset with a continuous drive to identify opportunities to add value and strengthen the client-agency relationship

Nice To Haves

  • Solid technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new tools, platforms, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, distribute, and follow up on Requests for Proposal (RFPs) with insurance carriers.
  • Review carrier quotes and compile plan comparisons and summaries for Account Manager review.
  • Assist Account Managers with drafting employee benefit guides and coordinating client review and approval for annual renewals, enrollment procedures, and benefit changes.
  • Respond to client requests and support the preparation of open enrollment materials, including enrollment forms and employee communications.
  • Assist clients with onboarding new benefit plans through Keystone.
  • Track and verify receipt of ID cards, benefit booklets, and contracts from carriers to ensure accuracy.
  • Support clients with billing and claims inquiries, documenting issues and outcomes.
  • Initiate contract changes and plan amendments at the direction of the Account Manager.
  • Provide limited support on compliance-related matters, including COBRA, FMLA, HRA, and HSA.
  • Prepare service-related documentation such as meeting agendas, meeting summaries, proposals, and client correspondence.
  • Participate in client meetings, conference calls, and employee education meetings, documenting key discussion points and action items.
  • Verify production specifications.
  • Contribute to project planning by providing input on timelines, estimates, and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate work-in-progress records and archives of past project information as appropriate.
