The eMotor Controls Development Engineer will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing high-level requirements to ensure alignment with intended vehicle-level behavior. This role involves developing and implementing control algorithms for electric motor applications within powertrain systems using MATLAB-Simulink and C/C++. The engineer will process and validate data from communication networks, support diagnostic development and OBD compliance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Key aspects include ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards, performing pre-verification through MIL and SIL testing, and developing proto software builds for validation on HIL, Dynamometer, or vehicle using ETAS INCA tools. The position also entails owning DVP&Rs for assigned SWCs, analyzing and providing solutions to tracked issues, and maintaining controls' design documents. Active participation in Agile methodology, including daily scrum meetings, Big room planning, and sprint planning sessions, is also required.
