Element has an opportunity for an EMI/EMC Test Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) tests, and use standard and precision instrumentation to take measurements of electronic, electro-mechanical equipment and subsystems in an EMI laboratory setting. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Regular supervision usually under the direction of the Chief Engineer and/or Department Manager Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Regular interaction with clients. Builds stable working relationships internally General understanding, interpretation and analysis of test results Foundational understanding of EMI Engineering principles; strong understanding of data interpretation, testing and troubleshooting. Comprehensive knowledge of global EMC standards and test specifications, Electrical and Mechanical principles; general knowledge of all potential aspects of safety Strong mathematical skills, able to design and use all standard EMI equipment
