About The Position

The EMG Office Coordinator is responsible for scheduling outpatient and inpatient EMG testing, preparing patient testing areas, and escorting patients to testing areas and preparing them for procedures. This role also involves distributing transcribed documentation to physicians, maintaining billing documentation, entering charges, verifying charge entry accuracy, answering telephones, relaying messages, and performing general secretarial functions for the EMG service area. Additionally, the coordinator is responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining appropriate supply levels. This position requires demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the service area.

Requirements

  • High School completion / GED
  • 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Basic medical terminology
  • Knowledge of computer applications
  • Registration process
  • Able to multi-task efficiently

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in patient scheduling or hospital/physician office environment preferred
