The Emeritus Registered Nurse (E-RN) program aims to extend the careers of experienced RNs by enabling them to mentor graduate and new hire nurses, transferring knowledge across generations. The E-RN will leverage their extensive nursing career knowledge to support nursing team members in key areas such as safety, quality, patient experience, and team member engagement. A primary focus for the E-RN is to mentor new nurses through direct observation, guidance, just-in-time education, or shadow observations, ultimately contributing to a remarkable patient experience. The E-RN will uphold the organization's vision and professional commitments to team members, patients, and families by utilizing Zero Harm safety behaviors, error prevention tools, and high reliability strategies to ensure a safe and extraordinary patient experience. Flexible and self-scheduling options are available.
