About The Position

Edward Rose & Sons, a privately held real estate development and management company established in 1921, is seeking an Emerging Leaders Intern. This internship offers a broad foundation in property management principles through an immersive onsite learning experience. Interns will receive sales training and leasing opportunities as part of the onsite team, and will also observe and participate in operations including financial, marketing, and maintenance. The program aims to develop skills in sales, management, and marketing, culminating in presentations to senior leadership. This opportunity is ideal for current college students majoring in residential property management, real estate, or related fields, and is designed to align with summer break schedules.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college.
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student status is preferred.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Residential Property Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Learn sales and customer service processes through mentoring, job-shadowing, independent study, online learning, classroom training, and experiential learning.
  • Gain experience in leasing apartments, which is the primary revenue source for the business.
  • Potentially rotate through and gain experience in other areas such as maintenance, finance, risk management, marketing, and management/leadership.
  • Complete compensated assignments that bridge academic content with practical experiences, potentially aligning with university internship credit requirements.
  • Develop and demonstrate skills in sales, management, and marketing.
  • Present findings and recommendations to members of senior leadership.
