About The Position

Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing Emergency & Critical Care Team. This is an opportunity for a technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys critical thinking, and wants to play a meaningful role in patient care when pets and their families need us most. As the only 24/7 Emergency Veterinary Hospital serving Niceville and the Emerald Coast, our team provides life-saving care during nights, weekends, and holidays. We are looking for veterinary professionals who can bring confidence, technical skill, and compassion to some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in veterinary medicine. We are specifically seeking individuals with a strong foundation in veterinary medicine who feel comfortable supporting: Emergency and urgent care patients, Hospitalized and critical care cases, IV catheter placement and venipuncture, Anesthesia monitoring and recovery, Diagnostic testing and patient assessment, Client communication during stressful situations, Fast-paced treatment room workflows. Whether your experience comes from Emergency Medicine, Specialty Practice, Urgent Care, or High-Volume General Practice, we want to hear from you. Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience required
  • Prior experience in emergency, critical care, specialty, or high-volume general practice strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in: Patient restraint and handling in high-stress situations
  • IV catheter placement and venipuncture
  • Anesthetic monitoring and post-operative recovery
  • Emergency protocols and multitasking under pressure
  • Experience with veterinary PIMS and electronic medical records
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during trauma cases and overnight surges
  • Flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) preferred, but highly skilled Veterinary Assistants with advanced technical abilities will be considered
