About The Position

MedVet is a rapidly expanding Emergency and Specialty veterinary provider with numerous locations across the country. We are dedicated to providing advanced medical treatments and innovative care for our patients, including services such as chemotherapy, radiation, cardiac ablations, glaucoma treatments, physical rehabilitation, and dermatology. This role is ideal for someone who can identify and respond to patient distress, enjoys assisting with patient recovery, and is committed to client follow-up and education. The Emergency Veterinary Technician Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring patients receive high-quality care and that treatment plans are meticulously executed in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette
• Ability to multi-task, self-motivated and strong attention to detail
• Work successfully as a team member and autonomously
• Sense of urgency, Critical thinking skills
• Effective patient restraint
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior veterinary experience

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients receive quality care
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
• Oversight/care for stable patients
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint
• Manage the restocking of supplies for clinical teams
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs of department
