The Veterinary Assistant supports the Veterinarians and Technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all patients, advocates for pets, provides client education to pet owners, and ensures a safe and efficient hospital environment. Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or higher education
- One year clinical experience
- Patient restraint skills including, but not limited to: behavioral assessment, safe handling of fractious patients
- Able to maintain focus and work in a fast-paced work environment
- Adept at problem solving
- Basic computer skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- A team player with initiative and a can-do attitude
- Calm under pressure and adaptable in challenging situations
- Passionate about animal care and committed to professional growth
- Skilled in communication and eager to contribute to a supportive team culture
- Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds unassisted
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, procedures, and treatments
- Provide pet owners with clear home-care instructions and updates on hospitalized pets
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care
- Ensure clean, safe, and efficient hospital operations
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments
