About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital, in Rockville, MD is seeking full-time Emergency Veterinarians to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. Our hospital in Rockville provides emergency care and a wide variety of specialty services including boarded specialists in Surgery, Radiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, and a growing intern program. We have a great partnership with board certified Neurologists and Cardiologists in the building, which expands the services available to our patients. Our hospital joined the Rockville community in June of 2014. The hospital is 33,000-square-feet and houses many diagnostic and therapeutic tools, including a mechanical vent, high flow oxygen, lithotripsy laser, MRI, 64 slice CT, ultrasound, minimally invasive scoping equipment, an isolation unit in the ER and an in-house Antech reference laboratory. We hold daily doctor rounds, and our Hospital Operations Committee meets monthly with our clinicians for informal topic rounds to discuss operational and medical initiatives, changes, etc. We offer a variety of in-house CE opportunities which helps foster and cultivate our collaborative atmosphere. Requirements

  • DVM/VMD degree required.
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
