About The Position

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown, Virginia is GROWING and looking to add an emergency veterinarian to their team. They are seeking a veterinarian open to working nights and weekends, with weekday shifts from 5:30pm to 8am and both day and overnight shifts available on weekends. The hospital provides top-notch emergency care for small animals and some exotic pets, offering services like laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork, and emergency surgeries. Their state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced imaging, digital x-ray and ultrasound, an in-house pharmacy and lab, and fully equipped surgical suites. The location in Yorktown, VA offers a mix of outdoor activities, history, dining, and shopping.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
Proficient in general medicine and surgery
Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
Active Veterinary State License
USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire

Responsibilities

Provide emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotic pets.
