About The Position

EVCC is seeking skilled, friendly, and energetic newly graduated Emergency Veterinarians for its new Saginaw location. This role is part of a structured mentorship program designed to help new graduates build confidence, develop critical ER skills, and feel fully supported as they transition into emergency veterinary medicine. The program is personalized to the individual's learning style, pace, and professional goals, with a phased approach over the first year. The Saginaw hospital is purpose-built for emergency medicine with all-new equipment and a high technician-to-DVM ratio. The position offers leadership support from the Medical Director, other Medical Directors across the group, and the Chief Veterinary Officer, alongside a team of experienced staff members.

Requirements

Graduate of an AVMA accredited Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program
Possesses state veterinary license in good standing or eligible to obtain one
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to think quickly on your feet
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Compassionate "bedside" manner

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, around-the-clock emergency veterinary care.
Build confidence and develop critical ER skills through a structured mentorship program.
Participate in hands-on guidance, case discussions, and foundational ER skills training.
Collaborate with other associate DVMs and build relationships within the medical team.
Develop independence through a mix of solo and overlapping shifts.
Utilize real-time support from veterinarians at other EVCC locations during solo shifts.
Focus on patient care, diagnostics, and case investigation.
Build trust and strong relationships with clients (human and furry alike).
