About The Position
BluePearl Vet, LLC is seeking Associate Veterinarian Emergency Clinicians for multiple openings in Irvine, CA. The role involves providing emergency healthcare treatment to animals, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, including wound dressing, surgical operations, and prescribing medications. Responsibilities include operating medical equipment like CT-scans and performing urinalysis, writing prescriptions, conducting research on animal diseases, completing documentation, and requesting referrals. The position also requires serving as a hospital leader to foster a positive work environment and educating animal owners on animal behavior. Additionally, the role involves researching methods to protect humans from animal diseases and participating in hospital medical meetings and professional forums. Travel for continuing education is optional, and there may be a need to cover shifts at other BluePearl hospitals within the same Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (foreign equivalent accepted)
- California veterinary license
- One year of experience as an Emergency Veterinarian, Associate Veterinarian, Veterinarian Specialist – Emergency, or Emergency Clinician.
- Employment will be contingent on passing background and reference check.
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree.
- Holding a valid state veterinary license
- Self-directed, committed ongoing learner.
- Must be driven to continuously improve and stay up to date with industry developments and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of quality.
- Decision-making skills are top-notch.
- Possess outstanding analytical capacity, attention to detail, and follow through.
- Ability to multitask and skillfully prioritize in a high volume environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide emergency healthcare treatment to animals.
- Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries, including dressing wounds, performing surgical operations, and prescribing appropriate medications and treatments.
- Operate medical equipment used in animal treatment, such as CT-scan and urinalysis.
- Write prescriptions for sick animals.
- Carry out research on animal diseases, such as preventions and treatment.
- Complete appropriate documentation and request referrals from other specialists as needed.
- Serve as a hospital leader in setting a pleasant, engaging, and professional work environment.
- Educate animal owners on animal behavior.
- Research how to protect humans from infection by animal diseases.
- Participate in hospital medical meetings and professional forums.
