About The Position

Join us as an Emergency Veterinarian at VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists and you’ll quickly discover that you’re well supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities and a talented team. You’ll be empowered to do your best work with a team you can count on. At VCA, the future of veterinary medicine is in our hands. Work alongside a team of 10 doctors, 15 RVTs and 30 Veterinary Assistants in a 7,500 square foot building with six exam rooms, two surgical suites and a large treatment room. Specialties include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Neurology and Cardiology. Equipment includes anesthetic and mechanical ventilators, diagnostic and portable ultrasounds, oxygen cages and endoscopy towers, digital radiograph and fluoroscopy (portable C-arm). Advanced imaging (CT, MRI and scintigraphy) available next door. VCA is a leader in veterinary care and is committed to taking care of the future of veterinary medicine. Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in California, or the ability to obtain.
  • People obsessed with pets and their care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency veterinary care to dogs and cats.
  • Practice the highest standard of medicine and uphold the veterinary code of ethics.
  • Collaborate with a team of doctors, RVTs, and Veterinary Assistants.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology.
  • Develop strong client and Associate relationships built on trust.
